The continent’s only food & beverage retail industry event

Gallagher Convention Centre – Midrand – Johannesburg
Opportunities lost by SA’s Food & Beverage Suppliers
With food prices soaring across the globe and export restrictions being implemented by some countries buyers are keen to identify reliable alternative sources of supply. That is why the continents flagship food and beverage industry event, Africa’s Big Seven, attracts an ever increasing number of international buyers and vendors.
They come for ONE simple reason – they DO the business.
The 2010 event was the biggest in the show’s 9 year history. Now 2011 is set to be even bigger with the addition of a 4th exhibition hall.
Even with this additional 5,000m2 of exhibition space and despite the fact the show is still 7 months away 80% of the total available space has already been booked.
With South African managers prone to making marketing decisions “at the 11th hour” there is every chance that the valuable local and international business opportunities this event presents will be lost to foreign competion. Markets that exist on our very own doorstep will be serviced by overseas companies.
Why is it that exporters from Spain, Poland, Malaysia, China, Ecuador, Mauritius, Angola, Turkey, Egypt, Thailand, USA, Germany, Pakistan, India, UAE and Vietnam can see the business potential and South African manufacturers can’t?
With only 20% of exhibition space still available there are inevitability going to be companies missing the 20% marketing opportunity of the year – Don’t let it be yours!
